Release Notes

Zip file contains binary dll with a simple UI to read database schemas.

DatabaseSchemaViewer.exe is a simple Windows Form UI.
  • Select database provider from dropdown (eg System.Data.SqlClient)
  • Enter connection string
  • Enter database schema (owner for Oracle).
  • Click button.

For code generation,

  • After loading schema (see above) click gears icon. A new form opens.
  • Enter file path to generate to
  • Select C# classes (with NHibernate mapping), Table DDL or SQL Stored Procedures
    • For C# generation, enter namespace
    • For C# generation, if you want typed stored procedure classes, check the box
    • Enter dialect (SqlServer, Oracle or MySQL) for Table DDL or SQL procedures. You can do (simple) translation from one database to another.
  • Click button.

CopyToSQLite (and SqlServerCE 4)

CopyToSQLite.exe is in a subfolder. You do not have to have SQLite or the ADO provider installed.
It will read a schema from any database (SqlServer, Oracle, MySQL, SQLite) and create a new SQLite database file with a copy of the tables and data.
If you have SqlServer CE 4.0 installed, it will also offer to create a SqlServer CE 4.0 database. This has limitations and is less robust than the SQLite copy.
